Just put him in a big tot with about 6in of bath water temp water. Keep him in their for 1-2 hours, and the eye cap should come off from him trying to get it off. If the eye cap does not come off with in another week, you will have to manually take it off. But ask how to do that only if the water does not work. To prevent this from happening again, make sure the next time your snake goes opac, mist heavily every day till it sheds.

good luck
Kyle

I know many care sheets suggest boas need a water dish large enough for them to soak in....they are wrong. A boa will soak to escape temps, parasites (mites), insecurity issues or because the proper humidity isn't met. They don't need to soak to have a proper shed if the proper conditions are met. Mites will cause shedding and other problems and they need to be eliminated as soon as noticed.

Many people provide soaking pools and many of them think they aviod problems by changing the water frequently, but there is still risks. Swimming pools for boas are risky....the boa will contaminate the water by dragging bacteria in the water. Bacteria multiplies rapidly in water and when the snake drinks this 'cocktail' it can cause problems either directly or indirectly by taxing the immune system. The affects of drinking this cocktail may not be visible in an otherwise healthy animal. Scale rot is another complication.

IMO (and many others) Gus Rentfro of Rio Bravo Reptiles is the leader in keeping and breeding locality boas. Check out the link below and good luck with your boa.
